Major NPCs

Meech

Meech is the official advisor and mentor of the Picoo Pals. He is one of only two existing yellow picoos, the second being his son, Tweech.

Before the Picoo Pals, he was a micromorphed purple picoo. Born in the Underglow to a small community dedicated to studying the picoo race, he journeyed through the continent until he stumbled across the last remaining shard of the yellow crystal and tapped into it. He keeps the crystal shard hidden in a secret compartment in the library, but only he and Pockpock know about it. The rest of his purple family now live as civilians in the Skytree (and yes, they all have British accents like Meech).

He is an incredibly powerful sorcerer and always buries himself in his studies and experiments. If given the chance, he will rant for hours about any random topic from his studies. His two biggest ongoing projects are to document everything about the history of the picoos and to discover what happened to the rest of the yellow race.

He knows everyone in the Picoo Pals and is incredibly friendly. He's quite timid and never gets angry. He's also well-known around the continent, often convincing picoos from all around to come to the Skytree and join the Pals.

Typically, he can be found in his little corner of the camp either in his house or in the library, which he owns. He also spends a lot of time in the green coop with Pockpock or Squalla. He has a husband, a blue picoo named Regidor, and a son, a light-yellow picoo named Tweech. He always disappears during Haunt-Harvest, though... Wonder what's up with that.

Tweech

Tweech is the mischievous son of Meech and Regidor. Meech wanted to create another yellow picoo to train, but the yellow crystal shard he had was not enough alone to quicken his egg, so he borrowed the lifeforce of a nearby spider to help the egg develop. This also resulted in some... strange side effects for the picoo.

Tweech is a social butterfly who loves to cause mischief. He is impulsive and hot-headed, often making up intense rivalries in his head even when the other picoo is completely unaware. He is also responsible for ruining the message board in town, transforming it from a news and job posting outlet into anonymous confessions and hate comments.

Oro

In Oracle of the Ancients, Part One, Queen Squalla went on a journey to retrieve an unusual egg from a vision. This egg hatched back at the Skytree, and out popped Oro!

Oro is a Pikoor, a strange new species that the Picoo Pals has never seen before. His rainbow feathers shine and shimmer in the sunlight, and he has an unusual talent for each picoo's power, even yellow's communication/light ability. He seems to age much slower than his peers and is incapable of speech, however, he has proven himself to be much smarter than the average pikpik. He struggles to learn picoo sign language with only two legs, so he carries around a stick to draw in the sand for those who can't understand him.

He is very close with Squalla, who he sees more like a big sister than a mother, and he likes to hang out with Pockpock, who secretly loves him even if he doesn't like to show it. Much to Meech's dismay, he doesn't care much for sitting still or being studied.

Rich

Rich is the official shopkeeper of the Skytree. When you visit the shop to purchase a new item, accessory, or mod, he's the guy you'll talk to. (In literal terms: he's the "voice" you see in item descriptions or shop updates)

He joined the Picoo Pals during the 2022 Hatchday season, along with a number of other picoos. He came from a rich family called the Bastardes in Three Fang Falls, and he takes good care of upkeeping his and his family's image. He is very greedy and is no stranger to scamming people, but he also sympathizes with the less fortunate, and he knows when he needs to be fair.

Although he runs the shop, he does not create the items inside; instead, he has a team of picoos from all different colors who use their abilities to create the items you see.

Nikko

Nikko is the official healer of the Skytree. Although many green picoos have a little bit of healing magic, Nikko has been studying and practicing for their whole life, and they are by far the most powerful green picoo in the camp, topped only by the Queen and former King themselves.

It likes to get straight-to-the-point and often speaks with a direct tone. However, it treats every picoo with respect and knows exactly how to cater to every picoo's needs. They are very spiritual and connected to nature, often being seen speaking to nobody in particular.

They have concoctions and treatments for almost every known injury and disease, but they are always striving to learn new things. They don't leave their site much in case they are needed, so they often ask the younger picoos to go out and collect things for them.

During 2022's Hatchday season, it parented two eggs, named Wee and Woo, who will help it handle the load in emergency situations.

Lollo (10110/Subject 22)

Because Meech is a very busy picoo, he set out to create a functioning robo-replica of himself to help with the minor duties around town. After 21 failed attempts, Meech finally accomplished his goal, creating Lollo (as "lollo," or 10110, translates to "22" in binary).

Lollo is programmed to wander the Skytree and assist those who ask for help. Its capabilities include GPS navigation of the city, a database for all registered Skytree occupants, answers to common questions, basic medical knowledge, a language translator, and much, much more. It is powered by the yellow shard within Meech's possession.

Rumors from Skytree youth suggest that a secret passcode can be used to unlock Lollo's "true capabilities," whatever that means.

Daedalus

In Missing Eggs!, Daedalus was introduced as one of Regidor's A-Fliers. They helped Y/N search for the stolen eggs.

They are level-headed and reasonable, generally undisturbed by the rambunctious personalities of others. They speak with a brutal honesty, not considering the feelings of others first. When off-duty, they enjoy inventing and are rarely found outside of their workshop.

In the wake of Soara's passing, Daedalus became the most senior A-Flier. When they were younger, they had an accident on the field that resulted in the necessary amputation of their wings. Despite this, Daedalus was determined to push through and stay on the team, so they invented their own prosthetic wings made of wax as a working replacement (until the summer heat, when the wax begins to melt... maybe don't fly too close to the sun, hm?).

Bones Jack

In Oracle of the Ancients, Part One, Queen Squalla recruited Bones Jack to assist her on her mission.

Bones Jack is not a picoo, but instead a young direwolf. They took an instant liking to the Queen, knowing her and her father as the Almighty Pockatri. Despite the language barrier, they serve as a loyal friend to the picoos, deciding to stay in the Skytree after completing the Queen's journey. They have a deep spiritual connection to the rest of their species as most direwolves do.

Although Bones Jack is the name given to them by the Queen, their original direwolf name roughly translates to "Skull Whispers."
